Ok, I seem to be getting a lot of inquiries and seeing them on the corvetteforum about GS and 13" brake upgrades for C4's. I put together this page of information so I could just reference and make it easier to respond on the forum rather than trying to list it in a post everytime.

A couple of notes:
Notice the price for the rotors is exactly the same between the regular and GS style. I only used the GS P/N's in the parts reuired lists at the bottom of the page as I didn't see any reason to ever use regular rotors unless for some reason the GS rotors go up in price at some point. Also, this information only applies to 88-96 C4's. The 84-87's can be upgraded, but a non-GM bracket kit is required along with a little extra work. If you've followed any of the posts on the forum, you're familiar with what I mean. Believe me, I've tried every way I could think of to use good old genuine GM parts to upgrade my '85 with no luck. I myself am currently working on welding up a couple of 13" caliper brackets and remachining them do bolt right up to the knuckle, however I haven't spent much time on it yet and probably won't for awhile. I also didn't include any pads in the parts required lists because I know most owners tend to get non-GM pads. I did however list the prices for the pads if anybody is interested. Ok, enough of me rambling on and on to the information.

4/13/01 - I added the brake hose washers and caliper bolts to the lists after "96LT1" on the forum brought them to my attention. He made a good point with his suggestion to put them on the webpage too. Even though you would probably be able to get by without them, why take a chance.
